9/30 Update

As coaches and parents, I think we all recognize that the childhood freedom we enjoyed as kids is certainly not the same for today's children. With the increased need for parent supervision due to obvious dangers and threats to young people today, the opportunity for kids to just PLAY has almost entirely disappeared. Nowadays we are too quick as adults to organize and coach them as opposed to letting them just play. As always we try to share with you the upcoming live games in the area and on TV as it is a key part in a players development. Another good way to catch the key moments/highlights of top level soccer is to surf the internet. Here are some great links to some top action from the last 3-4 days.

Looking ahead to this week:

The champions league returns this week for the second round of games. There is also a feast of action locally with lots of college games going on. The MLS season is nearing completion with some key games this week. Then to cap it all off there are some big EPL games on Sunday with Man Utd taking on Everton and Chelsea playing Arsenal to name just a few.
